Cheers! It's Friday!

A bunch of us girls got together at my MIL's house to stamp, eat, and laugh our butts off! We swap images and get a card or two done! I had this stamp from Inky Antics. Joanne thought we should all do a challenge with this image. So here is mine! The paper is by Basic Grey, flowers are Making Memories. Image was colored using Copics. (Much to Joanne's disapproval! ) I added little rhinestones to the bubbles. (Cuz I am all about the bling!) Here are the links to the other girls' creations!

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

No Stamping Required

This card was made with absolutely no stamping at all! I just bought these really awesome border punches by Martha Stewart, new Making Memories DP, epoxy stickers on clearance for one dollar, and these cute butterfly punches.....also Martha Stewart! I decided I loved the black and red together, but needed another color. So this soft blue was selected! I layered the papers, stickers, added pearls to the butterflies' bodies, and added a ribbon. I threw this card together in about 15 minutes! Record time for me!

Went to Sesame Street Live last night.......and yes we were the OLDEST ones there! We were surrounded by a sea of babies and toddlers! Cortney got her picture taken with her two favorite characters.......Elmo and Cookie Monster. She loved it.....except when the show stopped.....then we had big elephant tears and yelling, "MORE ELMO!" Yep, she is a Sesame Street Groupie!

Brain Wave Challenge.....

Every Wednesday, Ashley over at Treehouse stamps, has a "Brainwave" Challenge. This pretty spring tote was this week's inspiration. So I decided to use Treehouse's newest set called Homegrown. I colored the bird three times using my Copics. I attached bird #2 to bird #1 on pop dots. Then cut the wings only from bird #3 and attached them to bird #2, again with pop dots. I wanted this bird to have some dimension! I finally used my Score Pal to add some texture to the white paper. The squares were cut using my Spellbinders. I added some felt ribbon and 3 glittery brads. (I ALWAYS have to have some bling.... : ) Head on over to the other designer's blogs to see what they came up with!

Have a great day everyone!

Wonder, Whimsey, Magic....

Isn't this fairy the cutest? This is another image from Artful Inkables! I love Kristin's images! They are such fun to color! I colored the images with my Copics. I did some masking to place the fairy on top of the flower. I used the masks again with I airbrushed around the image. I added some glitter to the flower and fairy's wings. I used the Spellbinder's Nestibilities to create the scalloped square. Paper is by Basic Grey. The little scallop at the bottom was done with Martha Stewart's new border punch. The ribbon and felt button are by Making Memories. I stamped the sentiment and teeny butterfly. The colors look a bit off in this photo for some reason. The green looks a bit bright here......Don't know why?! Anyway, you get the idea....

Well, tomorrow we are seeing Sesame Street live with Cortney. We have "backstage" passes to meet all the characters. I know.....she WILL be the oldest kid there! I am sure there won't be too many 13 year olds there! : )

Scrap Your Crap Challenge!

Greta and Simone sent a bunch of us some crap a few weeks ago. What was it you ask? Well, it was a green paper lace. Except I didn't keep it green, I painted mine white and sprinkled glitter on it. (Just to drive Simone crazy! : ) I backed it with some lime green paper and placed that over some cool black and white Making Memories paper. The butterfly stamps were from Scraptivity! I added some rhinestones to their bodies....cuz it is all about bling with me! Making Memories also makes these cool felt pieces. So I used them under their bodies.
The sentiment was from Papertrey Ink. So head on over to the Scrap Your Crap site and check out what all the girls did with their green lace!

Bitten by the Bug and my Birthday Girl!

This is the card I created for this week's Bitten by the Bug Challenge. We were to use the Cocoa Cup on the Christmas Cheer cartridge. I inked the edges white and liquid appliqued my steam and marshmallows. (Those were punched with a small square punch, and by hand I rounded the corners with scissors). I stamped the sentiment using Karen Foster's Snap Stamps and punched out. I adhered it to the handle of the cup with a ribbon. The DP is by My Mind's Eye. The rest of the paper is SU! I cuttlebugged the blue paper. The Kraft paper was punched using Martha Stewart's new border punch. I added some ribbon by Making Memories to finish it off.
Aren't my marshmallows yummy?
Here is Cortney getting ready to blow out her candles with her dad. I love that I captured this sweet moment!
